When we dreamed up this styled shoot at Camino Real Ranch, our theme was simple yet striking: Your Love is an Oasis. We wanted to blend the rugged textures of the Texas desert with the breezy elegance of coastal design—an editorial vision that feels both grounded and ethereal.

Curating Rentals for a Desert-Coastal Aesthetic

To achieve this balance, we turned to Glamour Event Rentals to help us build the foundation of our design. Natural wood tones and textured finishes echoed the ranch’s desert landscape, while soft linens and refined tabletop details layered in a coastal ease. The curated collection of furnishings allowed the setting to feel at once organic and elevated—an oasis brought to life.

As I curated the design for this luxury styled shoot at Camino Real Ranch in November 2022, I envisioned a full-service experience that seamlessly blended architectural modernism with editorial warmth—and that’s exactly what we built. From couture jewels to vintage wheels, every curated detail was chosen with our high-touch, high-style clients in mind.

The Team & The Look

Our bride, Natalie Cortes, slipped into gowns from Belle Saison Bridal that felt both timeless and effortlessly editorial. Complemented by exquisite jewelry from The Austin Diamond Room, her looks were elevated, luminous, and completely unforgettable. Her soft, romantic hairstyle by Katelynn Brand framed her features like art—just right for this designer-forward shoot. Amir Lancaster, our groom model, brought a modern charisma and classic refinement that perfectly balanced Natalie’s delicate glamour. Fun fact… the two models are now engaged to be married in 2026, in Paris, France. I’ll give you one guess as to who gets to plan THAT amazing event?! Moi, of course!

Setting the Scene

Camino Real Ranch’s clean lines, serene backdrop, and bright architecture offered the perfect canvas. The centerpieces were true works of art—avant-garde sculptures inspired by the movement of sand dunes. APEvents designed these to echo the shifting textures of the desert while nodding to coastal life, each piece layered moss, seagrass, and sand into organic forms that felt both unexpected and harmonious.

The interplay of earthy neutrals with soft, tactile materials created a sense of landscape brought indoors—minimalist yet dynamic, refined yet natural. These centerpieces served not only as tablescape focal points but as living installations, reminding guests that love itself can be an oasis: resilient, fluid, and endlessly evolving. Daisy Print Company’s thoughtfully printed stationery carried that elegant narrative—from invitation to day-of detail—with coherence and sophistication.

For a touch of indulgence, Whisk and Twirl crafted a cake that was every bit as beautiful as it was decadent—a true artistic centerpiece. Inspired by organic terrain and botanicals, Stacey Benitez executed this wild masterpiece beyond my wildest dreams!

Nothing says editorial-style romance like arriving in a vintage vehicle. Thanks to Four Leaf Limo ATX, we captured cinematic moments from the drive, to the first look, to that fleeting embrace in front of that perfectly curated setting.
